Ofam Ministries
Only for a moment.
Ofam stands for Only For A Moment. It is a reminder that whatever you are walking through right now is not the end of your story.
"Don't be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today."Exodus 14:13 · WEB
The story
Between the army and the sea.
Israel stood at the edge of the Red Sea with an army behind them and water in front of them. There was no way out. And God said: do not be afraid, stand still, and see. The sea opened. The moment that looked like the end was only for a moment.
It began with a boy who left home at thirteen. His mother told him it was only for a moment. Years later he found the same promise in that verse, and Ofam began there.
It grew into a faith and encouragement movement for anyone stuck between the army and the sea: the anxious, the grieving, the tired, the waiting. We make simple things that point people back to hope. Ofam Journal is one of them, a private place to pray, read and write, with a Wall where strangers send each other a kind word.
